Sanibit Granted Its Fourth Patent

February 24, 2022

Building on our previous work in US10403121, US10679488 and US10748410, Microsensor Labs has been granted its fourth patent for the Sanibit System, US11257350, “System and method for opportunity-based reminding or compliance with one or more health protocols”.

In this patent, a system and method for opportunity-based hygiene monitoring and/or reminding is disclosed. Healthcare providers may have various opportunities to interact with a patient. For example, an opportunity-based analysis may be used for infection prevention protocol compliance, such as compliance with hand hygiene protocols and/or PPE protocols. Further, infection analysis, patient care billing, staff locating, or workload analysis may be opportunity based in order to more efficiently manage the healthcare environment.

Hand hygiene compliance is low and difficult to improve among health care providers. Sanibit addresses this by providing automated hand hygiene compliance and quality monitoring, real-time feedback, and comprehensive individual level analysis. In a 16-week clinical trial, Sanibit more than tripled health care providers’ full hand hygiene compliance rate.
